This painting results from time spent ephehlweni in rural KwaZulu-Natal. It is a symbol of my interest in the role of spirituality in art. Set in the KwaMachi chieftaincy, amid the Ncayiyane and Sincuba clans, it depicts my fellow initiates, Blossé and Mbuthuma.
